While the bay area metro is huge, the city of San Francisco's population is dwarfed by the cities on the list. I believe San Jose is more populous than SF.

Both Houston and Dallas areas generally experience population growth of 1.5-1.8%, per year. If 100k people move out and 197k move in, it is disingenuous to write an article aboot them "Losing" 100k.

While I realize the article is agenda-driven, I have to wonder if the agenda was to make the author look like a ree-ree.
