I mean no offense by this, but if you truly believe that sexuality is a choice to be made, then you are probably gay or bi.
Certainly indicates that the person making this claim at some point decided they weren't gay...which means that for them being straight was a conscious decision.

How would an increasing number of people being gay cut down on the population of the world??? It would require that those people do not have straight sex and do not intentionally procreate either the old fashioned way or through an alternative fashion. Gay men and women have maternal and paternal instincts just like straight people, the biological imperative to procreate is as much a part of their DNA as it is anyone's...they just are not sexually attracted to the opposite sex. The biological imperative does not require an attraction...it requires fertilization of an egg which can happen all kinds of ways that do not inclue attraction...if you ain't had sex with someone you weren't attracted to simply because you wanted to have sex....most adults have...you are a rare individual...

I most certainly fall into the camp or treating all people with respect and dignity regardless of where they want to stick their dick or face (so long as its a consenting adult) BUT I stop short of thinking that person deserves MORE reverence as a result of their choices, which is what is happening.
I like girls who talk dirty and have fat arse and thighs. I don't expect a parade or a month to celebrate how special I am.

So your not really being honest when you say you don't care when you also say they are receiving more reverence. They are more readily accepted, they have a month and may have a parade in their area...and they are still ridiculed and called all manner of ugly demeaning names and are the victims of violent crime more than straight people. At the end of the day it is still more difficult to go through life gay in our culture than it is straight and probably always will be...parades and gay pride months aside....
