Anyone who has actually been a D Coord for a few years at a mid-major with some success would be okay compared to what we have right now.

Hey...Temple was kicked out of the Big East and they have given up fewer points than us this year. Just sayin'....! Oh yeah, LA Tech, Troy and Ark State too. So many options...

John Chavis is stout, he's been keeping the Vols crappy post-Manning/Martin/Clausen era Vols in ballgames for almost a decade now.
There may be a few better options, but JC is better than about 90+% of the others in terms of an SEC-DC that knows the current SEC HCs/OCs/Programs/Schools.
