I know this question wasn’t directed to me, but IMO that’s too aggressive. Burlington and Portland aren’t very close to one another and you’d be spending a lot of your limited three days in the car.

That's what I am gathering. I think I'm now deciding between 1. doing Boston and stuff like the Concord train + Maine (portland) or 2. doing Boston and then head to Vermont hitting towns like you mentioned.
