Canada quick border cross

We are going to Buffalo NY area to visit family in a couple weeks and I would like to make a quick day trip into Canada. It will be my 14yo daughter and myself and we will have a rental car. I’d like to see a few sights (we’ll be visiting Niagara Falls on the U.S. side) near the border and ask for our passports to be stamped. Any recommendations that are close, easy and interesting for her? Thanks!

You can walk across the bridge to the Canadian side of the falls and get your passport stamped that way if you don't feel like driving. There's a bunch of things to do over there like fun houses, mini golf, I think there's an amusement park

I crossed that bridge once, walked around Canada for 15 minutes, and came back. The U.S. border guard gave me the third degree. He must have thought I was making an illegal drop or something.
Buy some ice wine on the Canadian side. Good stuff.

Check to see if you can drive the rental across the border

The Canadian side of Niagara Falls is much more built up. There's a spot where you can access the tunnels behind the falls with some viewing areas (paid entry). The boat ride up to the falls is worth it. I had a surprisingly good time at the butterfly conservatory.
Niagara-On-The-Lake is nearby but I don't know how appealing it is to a 14yo.
