My choice would be Dr. Jon Sweet. I hired him as my band director when I was a principal and since then he went into college bands at Kentucky and was top assistant at Purdue the past 4 years. He just took the head band director job at Washington State University. He's one of the best as designing halftime performances and does clinics all over the country. He won't come as he & his wife just moved to Pullman, but I tried to convince him. That Purdue band was very good and had some very good shows. Their show at the Citrus Bowl was excellent

Ugh, the resignation due to “personal matters” or “to spend more time with my family” are the ones that always make you suspicious of the real reason.
