How??? It makes no sense to go there? It just doesn’t. That HCs history is pretty bad and he’s had some pretty awful moments at the press conferences. I would not want my kid playing for that man. I don’t care how much money is offered or if it has anything at all to do with it. I’d take my chances with a team like LSU, with its rich history of creating super stars at all positions than I would with A&M. LSU just gets much more publicity than most teams do in the SEC and these coaches really need to capitalize on this fact. It’s just crazy to me how we could lose any super star type prospect to anyone but maybe Bama or a home team I can also understand. Otherwise, I just don’t get it.

Wide Receivers are especially incentivized to take a payday up front, because they can easily point to numbers and production later to ask again or leave.

If Texas and A&M are willing to pony up before a kid has even set foot on the field, doesnt it make sense to take the $$$ and then you can just transfer out if it doesnt work out?

There is no college in the country who can pay what our LSU stars are being paid in the NFL. Talent like this will almost surely be picked but the proof is in the history. You come to LSU and you’re developed the right way. You get tons of publicity and you’re seen on the biggest of stages more times than most schools can offer. People just love to watch the Tigers. The players who do well here become stars and it typically translates to the next level. You never have to worry about money again so this money thing just doesn’t make sense to me. Good luck holding on to these players during the season.
