The older ones are built like tanks and are very relevant still in 2023. I have 2 P50 Thinkpads with 64gb of RAM that I use for video editing work YT stuff. Can't beat the value. They don't handle HEVC files well but bumping up to a P51 would easily solve that for nearly the same price. Their main drawback is that they are heavy.

That seems to be the most common complaint. They are only eight pounds. Yeesh
