I have been married 26 years and honestly it has been the best thing to happen to me.

I have a 16 year old son who is smart, athletic and good looking and so far he has had no trouble with the ladies.

But I did tell him about the “Men who go their own way” movement, and gave him the example of two of my co-workers who are about to retire in their mid-fifties with a few million in the bank and a paid off house.

I also provided my example and his two uncles who will all be married for life and honestly being married and raising a family has been by far the best thing in life for me and if I could go back to age 20 and live my life over again I would without changing it.

My point is men need to realize staying single is a choice. It may be the best choice for some and not others but all men need to understand the choice is out there.

Let me say this to any single person reading this thread so far.

Yes, marriage takes some work because when you are married you put yourself 2nd not first (your spouse should also do this).
BUT
Dating should not be hard. If you are dating someone and it is hard work then get out.

Only marry someone who dating is easy and you and them fit together to make a good team.
