What an unbelievably difficult run we just went on. One of the best sports week+ of my life as a fan.

Will always remember the fight in this team.

I was just going through the recaps of them. What a weird awesome whirlwind of anxiety and elation that was.

Imagine if we had any pitching outside of Skenes too!

A normal week in the season is seven games in ten days. (Fri-Sun, midweek, Fri-Sun). What sets these apart is the level of competition. Two against Tennessee. Three against #1 Wake. Three against #2 Florida. Just an amazing run!

This has been as special of a week as I can remember in sports. Just watching this team nearly every night it felt like

The peaks and valleys of this staff were crazy. Everyone who shoved this past week (other than Skenes) all had a role in the Auburn and MSU meltdowns. The questions were valid but god damn did they show up and say frick you.

Yes, absolutely. Anyone who thinks LSU wasn’t the best team in the country after that run just isn’t paying attention. LSU finished the year 21-7 against Super Regional teams plus Top 8 seed Arkansas. Florida was 17-9 against that level of competition. Wake was 9-3. TCU was 9-4. Virginia was 3-5. Arkansas was 12-9. Vandy was 11-14. Clemson was 2-8.

First thing that leaps out at me (besides LSU dominance!) is the number of games for each team in that list:

LSU -- 28
UF -- 26
Vandy -- 25
Arky -- 21

Then the non-SEC teams:

TCU -- 13
Wake -- 12
Clemson -- 10
Virginia -- 8

To be the best you gotta beat the best. And that's what the SEC is all about, especially in baseball and football. Just mind boggling.

As an LSU fan that did the Omaha tour.... it kicked my arse. Kudos to these kids, it was grueling... don't be mistaken.

And beat the 3 best teams not named LSU multiple times. I don't care about their record, Tenn was no joke. What a run.

that's what the SEC is all about

Iron sharpens iron. I knew the ACC was softer, but I didn't think they were that soft. Wake turned out to be a couple of decent arms and a band box park. UVA was undone by poor coaching. We had it all, starting with the coaching, the arms (Floyd and Hurd are gonna shove next year, hopefully with some reinforcements/returners from injury) and the hitters (will be the hardest thing to replace). But JJ has already shown he doesn't rebuild, he just reloads!
