Rivals dropped him from #20 to #122. Anyone have an idea why?

Lol. That’s ridiculous. They aren’t even playing right now. Such a big joke.

So they can drop him later and still look like they’re doing him a favor. I’ve gotten over these rankings a long time ago. Like when Chase never made 5* status after clearly showing everyone in America that he was going to be one of the top WR’s in the country. Basically a RB with elite WR skills. Giving Jefferson 2*s when he was easily a 4* player with a known athletic blood line. Like so many of the 5* players we have had who never even played and was immediately passed by 3* players in the same class.

Yea sure they get a lot right but they also get a whole lot wrong. There is no way to predict development or how these kids will develop. I’ve played both football and baseball, we would have a guy who wasn’t doing a darn thing one year and the very next year they just burst onto the scene and are playing as good or sometimes better than the players who were always considered the best in the game for years. There were some who were great for 3-4 years, then all of a sudden, they hit a wall and were passed by everyone worth a darn.

Point is that these kids can change in a year and some can change significantly or not change at all. While they were great their senior year in HS and projected to be great in college but when they get to college they are the exact same player they were in HS and simply didn’t progress any or enough to have an impact.

They’re still kids so this happens all the time. Lots of growth still happening, physically and mentally. Too much change going on to know the end result. The best coaches know how to project this much more accurately and efficiently than recruiting services who are motivated by the interest level they get from each region of the country.

Looks like he dropped 20 spots. Was at 102.

Tylen Singleton went from 32 to 114.

Stacy Gage (UCF commit) apparently went from 13 to 123

Listened to Tom Lugunbil this morning on Sirus X/M. He said they dropped him because after the first snap at the last camp he could hardly participate. He said he can move back up but red flags went off on him.

That doesn’t make much sense. He is ranked 28th in the country by Luginbill and ESPN
