I hit my 7 iron 170 but am so bad off the tee with my driver. I have started hitting 4 iron off the tee most holes under 380.

If I could figure out how to be somewhat consistent with a 3 wood or driver I could be a lot better golfer.

Sounds like you are a lesson away from really scoring better. Find a good pro near you and good luck! It may just be some setup tweaks, etc.

Same here. According to that chart, we’re above tour speed! I know my iron swing is 95-97. Driver speed is 110. I can get it faster, but control suffers.

We’ve got to fix that.

Whats your miss?

When you consistently shape the ball the same way it’s easier. Used to play with a guy if there were trees to the left of the tee he was screwed, 30 yard slice on his driver, but it ended up in the fairway just about every time

I had several years with the driver yips myself.

I had to learn the ‘bunt driver’ to get out of the yips. Which for me was choke down a couple inches and feel like I’m trying to punch my driver out of the trees even though I was on a tee box.

I probably played a bunt driver for almost a year. But it really got me feeling what square impact with a driver needed to feel like.

I was then able to work back to a full swing while keeping a much more square club face.
