I mean, I’m not shitting on private but it’s not as tough of a system to sustain when you can easily boot problematic kids from your system and require parental participation.

Does that fall on the shitty policies that public school districts have been forced to maintain for a variety of reasons? Yes.

I’m a firm believer at this point that districts can still meet mandates that every child should have access to an education by handing them an ID and password and forcing their badass kids to figure it out.

We could do this for far less money.

All kids have had access to education or a long time. I don't want public schools destroyed, I want the stranglehold they have on the system and the catering to people who do not value education.

Start focusing on your higher achievers and you will see a huge difference. Public schools have catered to the lowest common denominator for too long.
