I hadn’t seen that they were going to be there. I might have to go.

I've heard that their live shows now feature absolutely crushing production.

They take a lot of heat, but man, that is a great album.

I saw them touring behind that record. Excellent show.

Good band…the only problem is Michael Sweets voice…just nails on chalkboard for me…nearly unbearable. But they have always had good songs and musicianship.

What do you have against gospel-metal voice?

Many of their newer songs are great. Songs like; God, The Valley, Yahweh, Murder by Pride, Transgressor, Do unto others, etc.
Sadly, just recently, Michael Sweet had to accept the sad reality that he can no longer hit many of the high notes he could in years past.
Subsequently, they’ve tuned down from E flat to D.

His voice is deeper in his newer songs because of age. Some people like it better.

Stryper allowed a generation of religious kids to wild out to something besides Sandi Patty cassettes.

There were a few other options, but not many.

I’m going.
Still have my Stryper bible I caught when I saw them in Baton Rouge back in the day. Also have an R/C car that I painted yellow and black with Stryper stickers on it.

The show itself was great, but I was super disappointed at how short it was. 1 and 15 minute show with 15 songs.
I don’t know if they were simply tired because the Final Battle Tour is coming to and end, but comparing set lists from earlier shows, the concerts lasted an average of 1 hour and 45 minutes and 18 songs.
Even for the encores, Michael Sweet said, we usually go off the stage for a while and come back, but instead, we’ll just stay out here and play the last two songs.

I think most casino shows are like that. 75 - 80 minutes tops. The casino wants you gambling, not listening to tunes.
