quote:Ego trimmer here working on year 6 of 100% yard work getting done. Zero time spent on maintenance, zero purchasing, storing, or messing with gas/oil, zero parts changes, zero dollars spent on battery replacements. Just straight up eating weeds and cleaning off said weeds. It has cost me a grand total of about $3.50 in electricity (that's 56 volts X 2 ah X ~40 uses/yr X 5 years X 15 cents/kwh).
Can't help you, my 60V greenworks doesn't have a carb.

Looking forward to being called a pussy for simplifying my life and working more efficiently.

EGO 54V here
had a big ole pecan limb come down last night and grabbed the EGO chainsaw that I hadn’t used since Ida. Charged the battery and got to chopping
never ever going back to gas tools again

Electric yard tools have their place, but in this case it's not being helpful.....

Time and a place for this discussion. OP just needs help with their gas trimmer.
Eventually when it finally becomes more trouble than it’s worth, a 2.5 ah string trimmer will do any job just fine.
