Health illnesses in kids. In fiscal year 2022, research funding for autism ALONE amounted to 306 million U.S. dollars, a significant increase from 232 million U.S. dollars.
That's just research money given out. That's not care. The majority of autism's costs in the U.S. are for adult services – an estimated $175 to $196 billion a year, compared to $61 to $66 billion a year for children.
