Other than Stone, no WRs yet for 2024 class

Maybe this guy who just decommited from Tenner?
At 6-2 and 175 pounds, Harrell features a good frame to pair with high-end athleticism and game-changing ability. The four-star shines on the basketball court and displays impressive leaping ability in both sports in addition to smooth route running ability.
The attention now turns to the next steps in Harrell's recruitment. Both in-state programs are in strong position to potentially capitalize on this development. However, the door is now open for the likes of Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M, and others to strike, too.
"I want to open my recruitment back up and give myself a chance to make sure I'm making the right decision for my future," Harrell said.
Rivals ranks JJ Harrell as the No. 65 overall prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle. He is the No. 3 recruit in Mississippi and the No. 10 wide receiver nationally. The decommitment sets the stage for an eventful summer for the four-star pass catcher.
NOTE:
Anyone have more info on where we stand with the WR position? It would seem they would be lined up as we will lose a few good ones to the NFL after this season...

He's expected to land at Ole Piss I thought? WR board is pretty wide open. Hurley is going hard after Coleman.

Thx, forgot about him CC.
We are arguably WRU, so we should be able to attract the top-tier guys...

The Texas targets are the best shot at elite WRs with Watkins leading the way in terms of a likely commit

Yeah I saw Bryant Wesco was trending to Clemson after his visit per their insider girl as well.
Hurley is working Coleman the best he can. They're on the same 7on7 team.
Aggie side feels really confident about Miller. Believe they have his last visit before he commits.
Sounds like LSU made a move with McClellan after his visit this weekend. Still OSU's to lose but Steeples and Hankton are trying.

8 in-state D-1 WRs will pop up between now and signing day
don’t worry about WR

I was interested in our WR class this year too. Normally, we rely heavily on in state guys, but looks like we'll have to go heavy out of state.

Lester, hope you're right and we land top-level guys from LA.
Normally I never fret about this position, but quality seems mediocre or slightly higher in-state for 2024...

Really have a hard time believing Miller ends up at USC.
Feels like a UT/A&M/LSU battle.

I wouldn’t think USC is a stretch, and if it’s not LSU, I’d prefer him go to west coast where we wouldn’t play him. At usc, he’ll play in pass friendly offense against lesser defenses than the SEC.

Billy's last prediction (May 22) had us getting Koby Young, Jeremiah McClellan, Bryant Wesco, Jelani Watkins, and JoJo Stone.
I'm sure that'll change but that would be an impressive haul.

It is we just got 2 5*s in J Brown & S Sampson
At least they were at one time before committing to LSU and K Parker looks to be severely underrated, so we will keep them coming- years prior Thomas & Hilton Top 10, and AA 5* #4 WR went to Bama although is in the fold now. We Will Get WRs no problem

By my count we will sign at least three WR’s this year. So two to go.

Yeah Hoping we land 3 not worried at all. We can always find great WRs in portal. This is easiest position to replace in football.

Go see what Ohio St, Bama, Georgia, USC and Texas got last year and then look at what they have this year. Ain’t no off year for contenders.

That dude is staying in Mississippi. Crazy how much of a lock Mississippi has on most of their elite players.
LSU has guys like Cameron Coleman (who Hurley is putting the full court press on), Bryant Wesco, Drelon Miller, Jeremiah McClellan, Jelani Watkins, and in state 3 star Koby Young on their radar.
We are losing 2, and quite possibly 3 WRs, depending on how they do this year. Even with very talented freshman already on the team, the thought of coming in competing for a starting spot when the entire starting 3 might be gone, could be a huge pull. I've been hearing Stone for the longest as a likely flip, so if we pull in Young, we need at least 2 guys out of state, preferably 3.

Wesco just verbally committed to Clemson.

Yeap, Just saw that can take him off the list. I dnt know who we finish with in WR room commits.

Going back to write ups of the Bengal Tiger podcast this was one Shea said they should have been on earlier but were late on. Is what it is. Never considered and LSU lean.

I'm sure it would've helped particularly with the LA ties but the simple truth is we got beat by better recruiters in this particular case. Oklahoma is the one who should be disappointed. They put a ton of work in for Clemson to just swoop in and snatch him after 1 visit.
