If OSU is going to invest cash in states, they should probably invest it into Texas, GA and Florida. That way if they have 2-3 coaches fly out, they can see 50 prospects they like as opposed to 15 in Louisiana.
LA has great prospects annually, but it's a risk/reward game. Bama comes into LA for kids as do the Texas schools, but they border LA. Are there states that don't border LA that do well there annually?

Not really. The Florida schools recruited well here during the 90's when LSU was down. Since our resurgence in 2000, Bama has been the only school to consistently get kids from LA we want.

Update on McKinley, spoke to Dad this morning and he said they were headed to A/m this weekend after OSU last weekend. Word from Dad is OSU laid out the red carpet and made quit the impression. Bad part is he said LSU didn’t reach out to him about attending camp this week but did say LSU reached out this morning to see if he could come but they were headed to Tx today. LSU has to do better and pick it up. I would say OSU is current leader.

Post visit high is normal for all of these kids. He'll probably feel similar about a$m after this next visit. Different story when it comes time to sign. I can tell you with confidence LSU won't be out worked by anyone for this kid.

He is acting like he don’t want to be a tiger saying that LSU is not contacting him enough. I guess all these other schools recruit better then LSU since he is going visit them lol..

Anytime we have someone on here constantly giving updates on a top-flight LA prospect, I always assume it doesn’t bode well for us. Especially when they start talking about how LSU is lacking in their effort. Cam Robinson and Dylan Moses come to mind even though I know there are a couple more. I’d prepare to get your feelings hurt, fellas.

Spoke with someone close to Acadiana's head coach and he basically said that Mckinley wants to go out of state. No specifics just wants to leave the state.

Dad told me Domonick has not come out and said he wants to go out of state in their conversations but he is exploring all options. LSU needs to get to work and get him on campus for official. Will talk to Dad about A/M visit next week.

Probably A&M or Texas if I had to guess. Some kids just want to go out of state. And no knock on him, but after watching Acadiana last year and after watching the LCA-Acadiana game more specifically, if I had to pick between him and Melvin Hills III, I’d pick Melvin Hills III. He seemed like he was on another level.
ETA: would love to have both though.

I love when people say this as if we aren't even recruiting him. What would you like for them to do? Tell him he's not allowed to visit other schools and only come to LSU for visits? When people start making these built in excuses trying to make it look like LSU isn't recruiting him hard enough, it's a bad look. I'm having Tackett Curtis flashbacks.

I was on the LSU lean but the more I talk with Dad and hear about how Domonick didn’t care to attend LSU spring game and convo yesterday about Dominick not being invited to camp last week, and all of his out of state visit going well, not so sure he isn’t leaning for out of state, Tx/A/m/OSU would be my guesses as competitive with Tigers
