I think that is essentially what they are asking to do. Their position is why does baseball have to introduce any political/social agenda into the event? They don't give a damn about the race, creed, sexual orientation of the fans. All are welcome to come watch a ballgame. But if their organization IS going to interject social agendas into the game, then they, as players, should have the freedom to object/respond.
This is not the same as Lebron James and other bozos trying to "lecture" fans on their agendas. Last I checked, the NFL was not banning black people from playing, coaching, working in, or attending football games. Nor were they having "black only" days at games. Yet, useful idiots like Kapernick decided to protest (I'm still not sure what, exactly). HE brought the controversy into the game. Not the organization. So a response/objection was not unreasonable.

Your ignorance is showing once again. The organization they are objecting to is an organization that was formed and named with the specific intent of mocking the Catholic Church.
Name one organization on Mexican heritage day formed to mock another group of people.
