The one thing that no one has mentioned is carbon increasing in atmosphere isn't just because of increased fossil fuel consumption. A huge part of it is the incredible amount of deforestation throughout the world and the loss of CO2 scrubbers. I don't think many non-specialists really understand the level of this occurring in places like the Amazon or in parts of Asia. The Amazon is apparently very close to a tipping point, and if this ends up being correct and we reach a point of no return, it will have major cascading effects throughout the world.

Even if this is just the natural cycle of the world, wouldn't you want your country to be the most prepared for the eventuality? I just don't understand people who are still arguing semantics rather than realizing what is coming, regardless of why. I can tell you that the DOD is certainly taking it pretty seriously as my sibling is heavily involved with them in this capacity.

The climate change cult almost never talks about deforestation. You’re conflating the present day climate cult with the environmentalists from Richard Nixon’s time.

I’m curious about this. What is going on in the Amazon? I didn’t realize there was a lot of urbanization and development going on there.
