Going to Helen, Ga in a few weeks with the family. Any activities, sightseeing, or Restaurant recommendations would be appreciated. Already plan on tubing, mountain coaster and hiking to a waterfall. Also, what’s a good Place for an Adult meal with the wife. Thanks.

Helen is great, Blue Ridge is where we stayed and visited Helen for the day. Lots of waterfalls in the area with easy hikes....
We went during the winter months so didn't experience the Lakes they have up there but it looked like that would be a great addition to the trip.
Look up "Goats on the roof" I think its called... will be a fun pit stop between hikes if in that area. Kids enjoyed that experience.

Thanks.
I'm thinking of making a run up that way in July just to get out of this heat for a few nights. Trying to find which town I want to stay in. Mostly going to be doing day hiking and such.

Yeah from Blue Ridge you can shoot out to any of the surrounding areas pretty easy.
Love that area as a not as touristy area like Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg has become

If you're interested, the AT crosses highway 17 about 9 miles directly north of Helen. That would be a great day hike for the kids.

Visit Amicalola Falls State Park. You'll thank me later.
Seriously, not that far a drive. Maybe an hour (everything in the mountain's "about an hour"). Highest waterfall in the Eastern US. Got a great lodge you could stay at, have lunch or dinner etc. Tons of hiking trails. Trailhead for the AT, so it's cool to see all those starting or arriving.
You could visit the quaint town of Dahlonega along the way.
Haven't personally done it in Helen, many times in Blue Ridge, but go tubing! A big thing there and several outfitters offer services.

We were going to do Brasstown Bald, but I’m considering doing AMICALOLA Falls instead. Opinions?

Obviously highly recommend Amicalola Falls for a visit, hiking etc. Even staying on the lodge.
BUT..
We've stayed a lot in the Blue Ridge GA area as well. Typically rent a cabin and drive (FYI this area is maybe 35 minutes to the falls).
We've stayed in this cabin several times. Nearby Cherry Log and Elijay:
Red Apple
Blue Ridge GA Cabin Rentals
Some things we like:
Tubing On The Toccoa River!
Dining on the river at the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant!

I second Bodensee.
Tube and also have wine or cider with charcuterie at the patio restaurants near the water.
