Basketball uniforms

This has probably already been discussed, but does anyone else hate our basketball unis? I've always hated the tight "tank top" with hoop-skirt-shorts, but some schools can pull it off (Texas, Oklahoma), lsu can't. They're generic, and annoying. In my opinion we have the worst unis in D1 college basketball*, and until someone can show me worse, that wont change. Thank You Nike.

Seriously did you just start a thread on uniforms? Sure I think its ghetto when teams have shorts that look more like capri pants, but its not something I'm going to focus on.

You must have just started watching our team this season, the ones from 99(really further back) -03 were pretty bad. I think since the 04 season when Nike started making them, they have really stepped up in quality. Fresh and clean look.

lsu uniforms are a major major upgrade to what we wore late 90s to early 00s. those things were fricking hideous

Agreed. The uniforms from when Shaq first started were pretty cool, as were the ones that Ronnie Henderson and Randy Livingston wore.
Then they were varying degrees of awful to hideous for many, many years. Remember the LSULSULSULSU around the collar? Good grief.

I liked the shorts in the CJ days where they had Mike the Tiger on the sides with the basketball. I always thought those were pretty cool. A little short, but pretty cool.

I saw Kentucky's unis last night, and while they were bad, they have a long way to go to get to those denim looking jerseys that UK wore in the Mercer/Pitino days.
LSU hasn't really had a decent looking basketball uni since the Shaq days.
I blame Michael Jordan and his baggy shorts.
