I have made it clear many times here. I am from Fl. I live in the Miami area. I have family in Tampa.

Arrests were being made here in 2021 for breaking covid restrictions. Are you going to tell me that did not happen? Are you going to try to tell me that had nothing to do with DeSantis order when it's clear as a nice sunny day in the documents?

If it were by Desantis' order then mass arrests would've been happening all over the state, instead you had a small amount of arrests in areas with a large amount of Democrat voters and leaders locally.

Who do you think is to blame for those?

It's like recent history is being completely whitewashed to form a narrative that didn't exist a few months ago, simply because Trump pointed his finger and said "Desantis bad!"

Florida's (and Texas') handling of the pandemic was the subject of envy on this board until recently. Can't imagine why that changed.

You do not understand the order. I blame local gov too, but they could not have done that with out the order from DeSantis.

It did exist months ago. It existed from 2021 and forward. We have not forgotten either. I just linked you to a guy posting from 2022. You simply want it to not be true.

If you want this to be a political position for the upcoming primary, you are going to get your wish.

Are you fricking kidding me?

Texas' solution to the pandemic was simply to shut everything down. This was the case pretty much statewide, except for underpopulated rural districts. There was a time, from April to June of 2020, that Lina Hidalgo was fining Harris County residents $1000. for appearing in public without a mask! And Gov. Abbott ordered the arrest of a salon owner in Dallas for opening and operating her business.

One time during the craziness of 2020, I had to travel 120 miles to Kosse in rural Limestone County to get a haircut!
