Homeowners insurance premiums - Mandeville

Are those of you in Mandeville seeing huge increases like others in SELA are? Thank you.

2 years ago premium was 2500
Last year 3500
Now 4400

Renewal summer 2022 went from 2200 to 3800 and that was still the cheapest quote I could find. I expect it to jump again this summer

Mine got jacked last year, actually went down a bit this year because they stopped offering the low deductible plan we had. So our deductible is higher for roughly same price. Save about 600 on the year.

Yes. We were able to talk it down through our agent but even with that, it was a huge increase.
Eta: There are close to 50% new roofs in my neighborhood post Ida (including mine). Probably has something to do with it.

High auto insurance, some of the highest sales taxes in the country, ever-increasing income taxes, one of the worst economies in the country, and almost nothing in return for your tax dollar.

But begneits.
