Is there going to be a time where we regret never bringing him to lsu???? Look at what he has done with ole miss.

Before he got to arkansas they had not been to a bowl in FOREVER!!! They have gone to a bowl like 7 years in a row and atlanta twice???

Saban did recomend him didn't he.

I actually heard today that on the radio that matt or josh feel like he is the best coach in the sec. (might be promoting him since he was on there show though)

nevertheless what he has done at ole miss is astonishing.

Ed O. brought some decent talent to Oxford, so the semi-success really isn't all that surprising.

They won the SEC West in 1995 under Danny Ford.

You're kidding, right? Ole Miss' hiring of Nutt was an endorsement of 7-4 football with the occasional big upset and/or once-in-a-blue moon stellar season.

That being said, Nutt is able to do more with less talent than any coach in the SEC and most coaches in the country.

Houston Nutt is an incredible coach. He would be incredible with a strong program like LSU. But, I am happy with Miles.

Someone else can have Nutt. I would just as soon hang onto Miles for the time being.

I would like to see Nutt at a good program where he can pull in good talent. Arky had to be tough.

Gotta like his passion like Saban, Muschamp, and Urban Myer.

Looks very similar to the hire LSU made after Saban.

LSU does not want the type of players he recruits. They can play, that's obvious. But, they need alot of adult supervision.

When did LSU go 7-4 since Saban?

It's a Faustian bargain. The football version of Jerry Tarkanian at UNLV.

Houston Nut

He's pretty good, but he did an NFL backfield. And it isnt like Arky is Vanderbilt. Arky has historically been decent, some years great, in football. It isnt the abyss that Nutt fans make it out to be. I guarntee Petrino does well there also, probly better than Nutt did.

that's the most idiotic statement I've seen in a while

11-2, 11-2, 10-2, 9-4/10-3 =/= 9-5, 9-4, 5-6, 4-7, 10-4, 8-5

1-1 in SEC championship appearances >>> 0-2

3-0 in bowl games >>> 0-4

1-0 in national championship games >>>>>>> 0-0

how much stupider can you get?
