Muschamp is beloved here in Austin, wonder what Major Applewhite has to say about this....

They got a great one. I'd take him over Miles. He was the mastermind if some great Saban defenses.

Why the hell would Mack leave after next year?

And here I assumed Saban was the mastermind of the great Saban defenses.

No chance. And I don't get this move by Texas. So Mack is probably gone after the 2010 season and Muschamp takes over? Texas is about as good a job as there is and I don't understand taking a chance on a DC with no head coaching experience.

mac brown isnt going anywhere..it would be dump to do that. mac brown isnt as old as joePa or the FSU coach.

I can't tell if you are joking or not, but that goes right up there with Trindon Holliday playing on the d-line as a pass rusher.

That is why Muschamp went there to begin with. Mack plans on transitioning to Athletic Director, and recruited Muschamp for this announcement all along.
Muschamps' strengths include LB coaching and blitzing. He took care of the LB's and Saban took care of the DB's, and the awesome Dline took care of itself.

i wonder if he stays until Mack retires or he goes after another big job. if he can wait it out he will get one hell of a program.

I know the program wasn't in good shape at the time, but it worked out pretty well for another DC that left an SEC team and took over at OU!

I was hoping Muschamp would go to Tennessee so that Texas could go back to underachieving like they always do. Oh well.

So, that begs the question: who will it be-Peveto or, Mallory-after Miles?
