Park prices got absurd under Chapek, and in a vacuum Iger would never reverse that.

However; they did finally have a bit of a slow down and now are having to bring back discounts and other perks they had done away with.

Annual passes, meal plans, and early booking discounts specifically. Remains to be seen if those steps will be enough to entice people to continue going into debt for their annual vacation.

I don’t think your average popcorn vendor at Disney world really gives a crap. A lot of these “jobs” are just seasonal kids from all over.

They can charge whatever folks think its worth. I have no problems with that. Break it down vs a Taylor Swift ticket, or a SuperBowl pkg.

That article appears to be from April 3rd.

Iger in an article from May 11 still stated that the Disney feud could cost the state money.

He didn't say they were going to do it, said they are planning to.

I expect you back here when they change their minds

Is this not bad news? That the groomers are continuing to spread their influence in the free state of Florida?

Disney parks alone made $28 billion last fiscal year.

Disney's total operating expense averages to about $60 billion, they spent $80 billion over the last 12 months.

This $17 billion dollar plan is over 10 years.

None of this is propaganda, they might change their mind but obviously parks and in particular Disney World is worth spending money on for Disney.

I received two 20% off coupons over the last 3 months. This after receiving not a single one since 2018.

Disney is not stupid. They know the economy is about to crash. Credit cards are maxed out and discretionary spending is about to come to a halt. 4th quarter of 2023 is going to be a shite show.

Screw Disney and anyone who believes DeSantis and Florida should bend a knee for Iger.

Trump needs to quit acting like a paranoid a-hole. DeSantis isn't the enemy here.

Disney is bending the knee. They can be commended for that, sure.
