What do you realistically expect from Armoni Goodwin and Josh Williams this season?

Will they ever get back to 100% strength or will they basically be Justin Vincent and Alley Broussard post-2004? It concerns me that they seem to have lingering injuries they haven’t recovered from fully.

It’s obvious that Vincent and Broussard never recovered from injuries they sustained throughout their careers. They were both pretty good early on in their careers, and then were pretty terrible later in their careers.

Someone said Goodwin might not be seen all year.

Don't know if they were hinting at a transfer or what.

I expect Josh Williams back and to be a big part of the rotation.

Ally Broussard was a beast Mack Truck that Less never knew how to utilize. He would have won the Heisman Trophy had Saban coaches him.

Williams is so solid - always call him Mocha Hester.

Would love for Goodwin to get healthy or Emery to hold on to the ball because they’re such good “lightning” backs.

If I remember correctly Patrick Willis hit Alley Broussard so hard he quit football and became a rapper lol

My guess is that AG may not be ready to play in 2023. Likewise, there is concern about Emery (fumbling , grades or both ). They don’t want to rely only upon Williams, Cain and a true freshman.

I expect Logan Diggs to keep them both close to the bench.

That was Justin Vincent. Didn't quit but got blowed up by Willis.

Emery is 50/50 he will even play another snap for LSU
Williams if/when he gets backs probably your starter
Goodwin might not be healthy enough to play until mid way through
Cain will benefit others misfortune and will get carries
Diggs will hopefully be the most complete back
Holly most likely will redshirt unless he has to play
Jackson will most likely redshirt unless he just shows out in fall camp

If Emery could just wake up damnit. All of our other running backs are kind of blah to me. He's the one with the most twitch and cutting ability. Other backs outside of Goodwin lack explosion

Running backs by far have been the weakest spot on the team. Keep your fingers crossed that Diggs can make the transition from the Catholic girls school to the SEC.

Goodwin- not much. Dude has been hurt every year since high school.

Williams - a solid rotational player that will pick up tough yards. He can’t be the starter again this year. SEC defenses don’t respect him

I’m not going to rag on Josh Williams for taking advantage of his opportunities. If he gets 500+ yards again and over +5 yards per carry I’d be satisfied. Not bad for a “back up” running back.

I don’t understand the board’s infatuation with Goodwin.
