Hey guys/gals, I’m going to Brit Floyd next month. I’m a really big Pink Floyd fan so I figured what the hell and got some tickets which were actually pretty cheap for good seats compared to most concerts these days. I’ve never really been a cover/tribute band kind of person especially covering a legendary band like Floyd. I’ve heard really good things and was curious if any of y’all have seen them and what you thought about the show. Thanks for any replies.

Brit Floyd Great Gig in The Sky

Pigs - 3 different ones

You will be blown away by light show and how BF sounds exactly like PF.
The band is extremely tight as the horns and back-up female singers are the real deal.

I highly encourage anyone to go see this show as ticket prices are very affordable compared to what other bands charge

Set List ... 3-hour concert
Speak to Me
Breathe (In the Air)
What Do You Want From Me
Yet Another Movie
Round and Around
Empty Spaces
Young Lust
Sorrow
The Gunner's Dream
Time
The Great Gig in the Sky
Fearless
Pigs (Three Different Ones)

Set 2:
Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I-V)
See Emily Play
High Hopes
Money
Us and Them
The Happiest Days of Our Lives
Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2
Wish You Were Here
One of These Days
Brain Damage
Eclipse
Comfortably Numb

Encore:
Not Now John
Run Like Hell

Well shite, they are playing in my city on 6/1. Making me want to check them out. I'm looking at tickets though and it will be about $130 for both my gf and I to go. Unbelievable.

search around stub hub, seat geek, TM, etc .... tix for the HOU show are $35 (balcony). The only thing keeping me from committing is the 3.5-hour one-way drive and it's on a Wed night. I'd have to leave at 2pm, and won't get home til 3:30am

I saw BF pre-covid at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium and told myself to go see them again if they came anywhere close.

Saw them at TPAC a few years ago. They’re very good and worth the price of admission.

LanierSpots will be here soon I'm sure, he's seen them a ton and can probably provide a lot of info on their shows.

I saw them once in atlanta and was blown away. I had previously seen Australian floyd which didnt' really do it for me but Brit Floyd was practically dead on. I have to think that it was probably about as close to the real thing as you could get in a cover band. I woudl have zero hesitation to see them again if given the chance.

I saw Aussie Floyd twice in back-to-back years. I found the shows amazing, both in terms of light shows and music. David Gilmour even had Aussie Floyd play his 50th birthday party.

Spend the buck thirty.
It will be worth it if you are even a casual Floyd fan.
I have seen them twice, and will go again if they come back to HSV.

the music was fine I just didn't like the show becuase it felt more like an "Australian pink floyd cover band" show and not the real thing. Like htey had an inflatable kangaroo and a couple other things that sorta took me out of it. Now admittedly that might be my fault because I went in with wrong expectations, but if I'm goign to see a floyd cover band I want to be so ttoally immersed in the realism that I can picture myself being in the 1970s watching the real thing. With Brit Floyd it felt authentic.

Pink Floyd used many inflatable things on stage like the schoolmaster and pigs, so even at a Pink Floyd show there are amny other things going on. They also had a plane fly above the stage and crash into an explosion of fireworks.

I don't really need all that stuff at a show either but most of it comes from things that Floyd actually did. At Gilmour's solo shows though, you don't see any of that stuff and the lighting is pretty modest overall.

yes I'm very familiar. APF had a kangaroo though, which is the point I'm making that it felt less like a pink floyd show and more like an australian cover band. Which tyey are, so I get it. Just saying that's one reason I'd put BF over them.

OK, Im here. I have tickets for Clearwater in two weeks. Like stated, I am a huge fan of theirs. Ive seen them about 10 times and in 4 different states. They are fantastic as a Floyd Tribute band. Their performance is a tad more clean than normal live music. Damian Darlington is the leader of this group and was the leader of Aussie Pink Floyd until 2010 when he created Brit Floyd due to issues with the promoters. He is a master at reconstructing Gilmours and Floyds sound.

Great setlist for this year. You will get to hear them play the concert version of Sorrow which is going to be the song of the concert. I heard them play that version at Red Rocks and in Atlanta. Very good

Dont even think twice about going even if you are just a casual Floyd fan. They are fantastic..

That's true, but they split off and Damian formed Brit Floyd.
