A fair comparison is to take out the best two hitters for every sec team and compare to LSU without crews and white.

look i'm not married to this, but the first glance at Florida and Vandy

Jac Cag (leads league in total bases/HR) would not be included in Florida's top 2 hitters.

Enrique Bradfield(top 5 in BB/OBP/Runs/SB) would not be included in Vandy's top 2.

these discussions on baseball stats are my favorite part of TD and where baseball knowledge shines (most of the time)

I think people are overrating batting averages to some extent.

Sec batting averages and runs scored
Vandy 1st/2nd
Ky 2/T 5th
LSU 3rd/1st .....only 23games
Georgia 4th/11th
A&M 5th/T5th
Tenn 6th/8th
SC 7th/3rd ....,.only 23 games

Obviously getting hits is important, but there is more to scoring runs than just your batting average. The bottom line is to score runs.
