I rewatched GoG 3 for the first time since opening weekend. I think it is a good movie (I really do) but it isn’t nearly as rewatchable as the other two for me. The stuff with the animals is a tough watch for me and I liked the light hearted nature of the other movies better.

I just finished it and this was the best of the 3 imo. I normally don't get emotional from movies but the two things guaranteed to get me are animals and kids being mistreated. This movie felt like it was made to try to make me cry in front of my wife. My head hurts from fighting the lump in my throat the whole damn time.
Chukwudi Iwuji killed it as the High Evolutionary. Hopefully we see him again in some capacity because it would be a shame to only use that character once. Usually villains with no redeeming qualities or relatable motivations are boring but he pulled it off. Even villains like Thanos and Joker had reasons that made you think "I mean he's technically not wrong" but High Evolutionary was just unhinged, yet he never overstayed his welcome on screen.
My issue with Kang was the entirety of his character depth was "he's an a-hole and he conquers. Got it." Even though High Evolutionary's goal of creating the perfect society was purely for personal achievement with no regard for life, it was enough to make him interesting without just being the bad guy bc the movie needs one.
