Probably talking about when he ripped the SEC and said the Big 12 is better then took on the "If USC played in the SEC" folks. Then he brought up the outback bowl or something where Big 10 teams have a winning record against SEC teams. Then went on to "USC hung 70 on Arkansas! A great "SEC Defense" team!" Then talked about UCLA beating Tennessee. Totally skipped over the good teams and said there are 8 horrible teams in the SEC at least.

Well I think even die hard SEC fans would agree that it's down this year from 06-07, and will be even more down IMO in 2009. However, I can't count 8 horrible teams, because I consider UF, Bama, LSU, UGA, Ole Miss, and USCe all better than horrible

You mean how he talked up how great USC is, then proceeded to talk about how we shouldn't be so high on Florida because, basically, they've played no one since the SEC is down? Completely ignoring USC's "tough competition" that they are looking good against?
Normally his show is at least tolerable. Today was just a glaring example of his love for USC over everyone else.

All he is trying to do is drum up ratings.
He says something stupid and pisses off fanbases to get his name mentioned. It is classic Cowherd.

Ehhh, the SEC is 35-8 OOC. No bad losses except from our worst teams (Tenn, AU, and Miss St)
It has the illusion of being down because (a) traditional powerhouses Tenn and AU are occupying the cellar and (b) Florida and Bama are so good that they are taking away wins from other SEC teams. You want down? Go see the pac10 and their 13-16 OOC record.

Who else cam close to beating Arkansas by 53 points that season? Did they even lose by 53 combined points in every single SEC loss combined.

The bottom line is that USC under Pete hasn't beaten the best team in the SEC in any year. They haven't even beaten the 2nd best team imo.

Well Florida loses a lot of tal-- wait no they don't. But Bama is an old team and most of their talent is gradu--wait no they aren't either. Come to think of it the QB situation at LSU should be a lot better, Ole Miss is getting better, and Tennessee can't be as bad as they are this year. The only dropoff might be Georgia losing Stafford, but they're still Georgia.
Now if you wanna talk about a conference being down next year compared to this year...Harrel, Bradford, Chase Daniel, and Joe Ganz will all be gone. Texas should own the Big 12 next year.

You can't compare scores in college football.Two can play that game. Missouri State put 17 on us. Does that mean they would beat auburn since auburn only put 14 on us?

It is all about the QB position for the most part.
If your conference losses a lot of the starting QBs it will be a down year.
