Park across the street from Bridgeside and fish the beach, Elmer's island or the Grand Isle State Park. Been windy so not many reports out there at the moment. This week looks good if it has enough time to clear up.

State park rock jetty with shrimp creole or midnight mullet matrix shad.

What's enough time? I've really been itching to switch things up and fish the west bank, and it looks to me like all this wind out of the Northwest should clear things up around Bay Long, but I don't ever fish there and don't know the patterns.

Beach by Bridgeside looks like little Juarez these days.

GISP is closed and no telling when it will open.

I would try Elmer's island. There is a shuttle to bring you down the beach.

Yes, my neighbor runs this service. They have been operating for months now.

Dreamers or just dirty?

Not sure what dreamers means. But the beach access by bridgeside and the rocks in the pass is where every laborer on island and their family go to fish and hang out.

The area in the pass is absolutely filthy and disgusting. Fish carcasses, old fires, baby diapers, beer bottles and trash of every kind. They drive full size vehicles behind the rocks and set up shop. They have totally ruined the place. It used to be one of my favorite areas. I don't even bother anymore.

ETA: The beach just east of the pass is not nearly as dirty. But it does look like a tent city, with all the workers. Very crowded area now.

They’ve got to do something about that.
