Not unreasonable to think. The NBA was way too black. The rule changes allowed for European whites to actually compete in the NBA.

Europeans were always seen as soft and finesse. The NBA removed the physicality and now European players are amongst the best in the entire league.

The NFL should do what's best for it's bottom line.

First off, European basketball is more physical than the NBA. Secondly, that’s not why they changed the rules. They changed the rules because in the late 90’s/early 00’s, scores were as low as they’ve ever been, and the game had devolved into nothing but slow isolation basketball. It was an ugly game. The rule changes meant to correct that by incentivizing teams to play a more fast-paced style, more reliant on passing to break down defenses rather than 1 on 1 isolation play.

And the league is not as fun to watch.

European guys like Dirk, Peja, Drazen Petrovic, Pau, and Tony Parker came in and played by NBA rules, against some great NBA defenders.

Now they all get too many easy baskets, and are babies.

People thought the NBA was too Black in the 50's and 60's. That's why playoff games were replayed on a network late at nightback then.

I'm a 64 year old guy that grew up in Mississippi and Louisiana. I don't know a single person that ever said the NBA was too Black until the 2020 season, the bubble and BLM hit.
