I don’t understand the point being made here. They’re saying roughing the passer started getting called more when black quarterbacks started getting drafted? And they’re insinuating that’s a bad thing?

Someone help me out here.

I started to post your same comment.

So they are supposedly worried about black quarterbacks being the face of the league, and insinuate future rule changes to prevent/stall this from happening, but as evidence use a shift in rule enforcement that benefits all quarterbacks including black ones?

I think they’re trying to claim that roughing the passer helps slow, immobile white QBs. The defenses got faster to match the athletic ability of the black quarterback, so the league implemented rules that allowed slow white dudes to survive in the backfield and remain the face of the league.

But I don’t speak retard, so I might be wrong.
