Your diagnosis has to be correct or insurance may not cover if you are not a diabetic. There are certain criteria that has to be met like BMI, lab work abnormalities including lipids and glucose. I think many overweight people after a certain age can be considered pre-diabetic. Also I think once you hit Medicare it not covered regardless but I may be wrong. Also some insurers may cover Ozempic but not Monjourno or Wegovy.

My mom is on Medicare, and it was covered.
