Seems like baseball should take a backseat in this instance, not the child.

Watch the game on TV. There is nothing good that comes out of a 1-year-old being at a baseball game. It makes everyone around the child miserable, the dad can't fully focus on the game, the lights and sounds definitely aren't good for the kid and there's the microscopic chance of a foul ball.
