Downtown: Bull in the Alley, In the Raw Sushi Vu, Amelia’s Wood Fired. Bars: Valkyrie, Kilkenny’s.

Other areas: Nola’s, Nelson’s Buffeteria (soul), Mondo’s (Italian), The Hemingway(steak)

Broken Arrow: Smokies BBQ, Main Street Tavern, Cherri Anne’s

Area Pizza: Andolini’s is always popular but I don’t care for it. I go for Hideaway.

Nola’s is creole. I have friends who have come up from south LA and a couple have loved it, some haven’t.

Bull in Alley is best steak.

Nelson’s is the oldest restaurant in Tulsa. It’s very good but it’s heavy. They’re only open until 2PM. You gotta know the meat and veggies you want when you get to server or they’ll send you to back of line. It’s a place I only eat once every couple of months. Simply because it’s not healthy but it’s damn good. Reminds me of the south (Oklahoma isn’t south no matter what Okies say). Meatloaf, chicken fried, and beef tips on mashed potatoes are my favorite.

Ended up eating at the hotel one night. Then Monday night we ate at the Mahogany prime steak house. It was really good.

We ate there our first night and yea, it was ok. We sat at the bar and the bartender was nice and gave me a bunch of free bourbon samples.
