The bullpen bar is so low right now anyone throwing some consistent strikes instantly become stopper and closer. Luckily the staff has talent so those two guys can be good.

I’d like to eventually see Little/Hurd/Coleman on Sunday.
3-4 innings from the first two as “starters” and if Coleman can get stretched out let him go 3-5 innings. Not sure how realistic that is.
If Little or Hurd consistently find the strike zone, more than one outing we may have something for Sundays.
That or you let Coleman start Saturday and move Floyd to Sunday.
I’m not sure how much Coleman can be extended by the 2nd to last sec series to get a rhythm.
Even with the injuries, we have guys just most are inconsistent with giving up free passes.

People out here worrying about Sunday when Saturday has been almost just as adventure. While Floyd isn’t perfect he has just barely pulled his shite together enough for this offense to give the ball to the pen with the lead but it’s been a crap shoot at that point.
Edit: The talent is there Its just an issue of being consistent and limiting the walks.

Yea he definitely does. He won’t respond to me calling him out on it but even in this thread he attempted to twist Jay’s handling of the situation into “he can’t make a decision” and “he’s indecisive”.
Jay has moved guys into different roles bc he’s had to for various reasons. Some people just don’t like him and try to twist everything he does into something negative. The man has done an incredible job here and we’ve been decimated by injuries yet some will stick their heads in the sand and act like that’s of no consequence.
Despite losing high end talent at an unbelievable rate, particularly on the pitching front, he’s led this team masterfully to this point.

What a hypocrite. A poster earlier described certain Rantards as turning this place into Facebook but what you guys have actually done is turn it into Twitter.

Should we find an early game closer first?

We've yet to find a bullpen guy who is just consistently nails.
It’s Guidry. We can’t really use him there because our bullpen is so hollowed out right now that we need him to put out fires. But if Collins continues to pitch like that, Little can keep giving us two or three innings, and Ack comes back strong, I expect Guidry to be the closer.
