I have raised canaries for many years. They need to be handled with care. I was known as the bird man because I use to take birds people no longer wanted. All were small.
Love birds were the loud and extremely messy. Parakeets were very nice. I had many over the years. Cockatiels are great also. Finches are another messy bird. My favorite I owned was the last I owned. It was a small conure parrot. I bought it as a hand fed baby. It followed me around the house. It came shower when I showered every day. ??. Unfortunately he passed when I was out of town for work because of my ex-wife not paying attention that he knocked his water bottle down. It shows how much attention he got the three days I was gone.
