I’d be scared to fire anybody today

I know there’s another thread on the Louisville shooter but,
I was in management once and had to fire one person and then lay off four others.
Did not like it at all back then but today I’d be horrified. People are much more crazy today.

You know how many people get fired every day without going postal on the company... 
I watched my old director get escorted from the property by security because he was fricking one of the employees at the hospital while working. It was glorious... Dude was a dick, and we knew something was up because said employee, he was fricking, got busted sleeping on the job, and he did nothing about it.
Side note: both were fired.

I'll bet there were signs long before this. Don't hire crazy, purple hair, alphabet, nose ring, or visibly tattooed people. And, like with this case, you still may have issues with getting rid of them.

I love firing people. When I lived in Houston, I was nicknamed, The Mexicutioner. I’ve easily discharged 100+ people. Only once was I threatened, by a fellow named Pablo. He left me 2 threatening voicemails, ‘you son of bitch, I kill you’ I have them saved to this day, hilarious.
