Had to leave for a sec to pick up some dinner and man o man is the pels radio experience lacking. The lack of a color guy and graff just waffling getting over emotional when calling it is peak comedy. He isn’t even great at just play by play either, it’s as if you’re uncle who’s into sports is calling the game. Also 99.5 is a joke of a station for an NBA team to be on.

It is an absolute joke. A high school broadcast. You can’t follow the game listening to Graff’s antics.

Reach... I've gotten through Baton Rouge listening to games and was just starting to get static interference on the other side of the I-10 bridge
At least heading west I would say reach is no problem on 99.5

Though I'd say the target audience for the Pels and the average listener of 99.5 dont exactly line up. The geriatric Glen Beck fans probably aren't trying to listen to a pels game.

John DeShazier has typically been Graff's analyst
But he recently had a cancer battle that's limited his ability to travel a lot
He's typically there for home games and select road games

Graff is horrible. He gets way too excited for moments that don’t need it and he also gets way too negative on just about every time something goes wrong. It’s almost like he thinks the other team isn’t supposed to do anything right ever. It’s very frustrating to listen to

Graff has to play bothe play by play and color. That's a tall order for most guys calling games and especially for Graff who is average on his best day.

That’s been a signature of NOLA sportscasting for generations. You think Glap and Buddy were actually good? frick no they weren’t good, but they were entertaining as hell, and so is Graff.
We’ve had two legit radio guys in NOLA sports, Jim Henderson, and Sean Kelly. That’s pretty much it.
