Smart move and one that’s long overdue
It’s been funny to see the low IQ hens on Facebook spread their gossip about this being done so the parish can get the property where Haynes is. Never mind that Haynes was rotting from the in’s side and way too small for the enrollment

Agreed, but that's pretty much any parish in this state. Public schools are dog shite.

Or the old Metairie complainers got their way. They constantly complained about Haynes location. As usual, it is all political.

So you don’t agree that the school was a shithole and too small for the enrollment?
And yes the other moves noted in this decision were correct as well.

That's some prime real estate right there. The school and adjacent fields are worth tens of millions just in land alone.

Not too many Bucktown kids going to Grace King anymore. GK is mostly Central American kids that live in the apartments complexes around Metairie.

Both my kids go to Haynes. I hope they sell that property and build a Walmart. Screw the elitists in that neighborhood.

Haynes is long overdue for a change/improvement. Word was they were originally supposed to get the new Kenner Discovery campus. The gym roof leaks. Electical fires from outdated infrastructure.

That being said...you also have to feel for Grace King students. Having to merge with Bonnabel...not good.
