People are gonna argue to death that they aren’t bluebloods, but 3 titles since 2000 with 3 different head coaches

Transfer portal changed the color of any blood anyway. Blue blood is meaningless now.

Uconn hoops is more like LSU baseball. Best program in the game for the last 30 years, but weren't great prior to the 80s

UConn has 5 titles since 1999. LSU football has a lot of work to do to meet their level of success.

The similarities are there. The multiple coach thing you mentioned, they win titles primarily in Texas, us in Nola. We’re both good for serious runs every 4-5 years.

Basketball is in their Blood up there while football is in ours down in Louisiana.
Its a Cant miss for any quality head coach that understands and can navigate the game as it is currently.

Yep 5 titles since 1999 is the most in the country. No other program has more than 3 in that stretch. I believe Duke, UNC and Kentucky all have 3 and there's a couple with 2. CBB is one of my favorite sports. Would love to see LSU right the ship in CBB.

That's a good comparison.

UConn was nothing more than a regionally relevant program for much of its history, and were so outmatched when they joined the Big East that the school considered leaving the conference. How Jim Calhoun turned them into a national power was rather remarkable.

And also like Skip and LSU, Calhoun had UConn knocking on the door for a few years before finally breaking through. Once they did, that program really got rolling.

5-3=2. so just two more titles to catch up. shouldn't be too hard.
