As soon as Utk beat us in the sec tournament, their players mocked Reese’s dance…these kids can’t wait to mick u when u lose
Don’t think for one min when lsu loses next yr someone won’t mock Reese again
It’s all part of the game!

This is more an anti LSU/Kim Mulkey thing than it is a black or white thing. Most of the MSM is left wing liberals so they wouldn't normally criticize a black female player for anything. They hate Mulkey because she didn't bow to the woke crowd and by extension hate her players.

I don’t remember the Flynn v. Perilloux debate being very heated, but that was a long time ago so I might be misremembering.

That's because I don't have anyone like Angel Reese at LSU, to compare her to. There is normal trash talking, and then there are the Marshall Henderson, Angel Reese, Grayson Allen's of the world, who make their antics a show unto themselves. And people, particularly Angel, herself, have been saying that men don't get the same criticism, and that white people, in general, don't get the same treatment. Which is false.

When he was throwing interceptions, as LSU was losing to Arkansas and Kentucky, people were ready to give up on him and try the shiny new toy. Daniels' treatment is not unique.

The "hate" is absolutely 100% about hating Kim Mulkey. There is plenty of valid criticism that isn't hatred, and has nothing to do with race.

What? Didn't you see who and what I was responding to you? This dude is trying to insinuate that Daniels' criticism is somehow different, and my example proved that it is not. I can't give a more recent example, because all the other QB's who were criticized, were universally criticized, because they were objectively bad QB's.

I do think Burrow could’ve taken a dump off the field goal posts and been celebrated for it on here

lol. I think if he had done that, the reaction would be the same as it is here with Reese. You have those of us who don't like it, and those who think their own can do no wrong.
I think the comparison is perfectly fair, because it relates with the exact same situation. I don't know what else would make the point.

It's a combo of factors including race and the fact that it's women doing it. For whatever reason, there's a lot of people that hold women competitors to a different standard than men when it comes to how they act while playing. You want to see emotion and players that care, yet you expect the women to hold that emotion in at all times. Throw that in with a black girl doing it to a white girl and you have all the pearl clutching you see right now.
Regardless, the fact that so many people are talking about WBB is a positive for the sport itself. All of this "drama" is going to help them get their own TV deal.

Really? So the fact that she stares down someone after nearly every "and 1", constantly gestures things and waves for the crowd acknowledge her, is always talking smack and often getting in people's faces, makes her nothing like them?
