bullshite that’s why USC got beat, you double team her and make someone else beat you. You can’t let her drive the basket yon have to take charges etc

Take charges and get her in foul trouble

This is the best strategy, IMO. She's a great passer as well. When USCe doubled her, she found an open person cutting to the basket fairly often.

That said, I think you take that every chance you get. Mainly, bc the girls she was passing to were largely ineffective around the basket. They did do well at the foul line, though.

I would imitate what Iowa did to SC. Leave Iowa’s weakest outside shooter open to double Caitlin and keep someone down low to guard against Caitlin’s passes on the pick and rolls. Then guard Iowa’s 2nd and 3rd best shooters.

Did you watch the previous Iowa game? They doubled her at half court, which resulted in her finding wide open 3-pt shooters everywhere or Csiznano(sp) alone underneath.

You have to take your best on-ball defender and hope to keep Clark in front of you while containing the others. She will get her 25+. What you don’t want is for her to get 15 assists and get the rest of Iowa in a good flow.
