Wasn’t questioning performance. Possibly related to sunlight and the angle, but looks better today. I’ll keep an eye on conditions that influence the visibility.

Looks normal to me. Maybe the first pic was at a bad angle

With several sections showing the same issue, I may be gifted with bad angle pictures. This picture is from a different side of the home.

That looks horrible. Hope you get a resolution. I wouldn’t be pleased either.

I’m a roofer haha. I was actually at there manufacturing facility yesterday. Around that time they changed the amount of squares they put on a pallet. Unknowingly the way they were laid caused your issue
Could you elaborate on this please? Why would the number on a pallet cause them to lay it wrong?
I had WW put on my home by PS in November. Do you know if that time frame would have the same issue? I had some raised shingles that sort of looked like ops, though not as bad. I had them come look and they told me heat would lay them down. Still seeing some issue though.

It something about how they were stacked on the pallet waiting to Baton Rouge delivered from manufacturer. The didn’t weight set off caused bending they didn’t expect

Gotcha thanks. I’m not thinking I have that issue

Claims process isn’t off to a great start based on ancient paperwork that still references having to print pictures to send in (no diskettes allowed per the paperwork, ha). Atlas didn’t admit to any issues & is making me follow the normal claims process. I understand to an extent, but they know what lots/batches were impacted and then distributed to roofers. Zero effort to make this process more efficient. Roofer is coming next week to pull two shingles to ship to them. Will update after getting further in the claims process.

Atlas probably won't admit any issues. They screwed 1000s of of homeowners with their defective Atlas Chalet shingles.

Happened to my parents. ‘Til the day I die, I won’t consider an Atlas shingle because of it, and will shite on them any chance I get.

Long time ago. They've gotten lots better. Physically getting to watch them and their process of maiking the shingle was pretty cool thing to see.

They may have very well improved, but that doesn’t change the way they very clearly screwed people in the past.
Fool me once…

I wasn't around then. Don't know the whole story. Hear bits and pieces everywhere. What years did that happen? What did happen?

Atlas discontinued the Chalet shingles in 2010. Atlas sold their Chalet shingles with a 30 year Warranty. So people are still getting screwed by Atlas today and in the future.
The shingles cracked and blistered with heavy granule loss in just a few years. It was a three tab shingle that looked kind of like an architectural shingle from a distance.
