alexandria is certainly not known for it's culinary options but, roadhouse may be something that'll satisfy you in the interim.

Spirits
Mandarin or Oriental Wok for Chinese
Caros or Rio Rojo for Mexican
Outlaws or Koals for Barbque
Lou and Lauras for old school burger
Women love The Cottage
Apollo for Greek
Wildwood or Jim Deggy (pineville) for good pizza
Royal India for Indian
Verona for Italian
For meat and three type places, Brocatos or Pamelas Bayou in a Bowl

For me I like Mandarin and it is definitely busy all the time, like a newer Oriental Wok. Khan is a Mongolian Grill thing, and it is good, I just dont like the concept that much.

Don’t go to Outlaws, and don’t let anyone talk you into going either. Not good. Don’t care what any locals say, just avoid it.

It’s not awful but it isn’t good. Locals will rave about it

It closed awhile back.

I do like Royal India, except the guy really seemed to be trying to force the buffet on me when I just wanted the lunch special. The food is wonderful though.

Best bet is to go to a gas station and get Meat Pies and Crawfish Pies.

This. Stopped at a gas station last summer while passing through for work and got a crawfish pie.

After a few bites I turned around and got 4 more for later on at the hotel.

Can’t remember the station name but it was on the left headed north on 165 and it was in southern Alexandria.
