I guess the days of rooting for our school/team are over. People in TS boo our qb, leave early, and sit on their hands. I see people every Saturday waiting for and NFL team to show up and when it doesn't people fall apart and make crazy statments and pontificate on how they would coach the team and what should be done.

We've been through worse and let's stick behind LSU. I don't say don't critisize but it's gone way past that.

It's a bunch of 19-23 yr olds representing our University and they want what we do.

My only criticism of the program this year is that we didn't get a legit D coordinator.
I'll be there Sat night listening to the people around me bitch how Les owes them money for their ticket for not doing as they say or how JL should have run or done something different on every play that doesn't score a TD.

Forever LSU

#1 problem is Def Coord.

Fans should boo them as they get paid a boat load of money for doing such a bad job and horrible game planning

This makes me sick. Its one thing to criticize him with other fans amongst themselves - quite another to make the criticism so loud Lee can hear it during the game.

leave early

I don't really have a problem with that if we're blowing someone out - in fact it might even encourage the players to find that they are beating the other team so bad they're boring people - but the Georgia game was pathetic as far as fans go. We were in that game until that last 4th down. People started leaving early in the 3rd. Punks. I couldn't believe it. I can definitely understand if you've got kids or are elderly jetting out as soon as that failed 4th down conversion - but we were in that game until then.

Just call them nega-tigers and yell loud as you can on defense, that's pretty much all true tiger fans can do.

I've been fortunate and blessed with the privilege of attending every single LSU home game since I moved home to Baton Rouge right before the 2004 season started. The only game I've left early was the 49-0 blowout against Kentucky two years ago.

Robbing old ladies isn't anything new, either, but that doesn't make it OK.

Im starting to get tired of people bitching about this... Not everyone gets their panties in a bundle everytime they walk into tiger stadium.

Try and keep this crap to yourselves and just deal with the fact that some people are upset with the season.

You're right, last week there were tons of open seats, the stadium was pretty much silent, and everyone left before the 4th quarter.

well if they are bama old ladies it does make it right. I was pointing out though this is nothing new in tiger stadium. its pretty clear this isn't the same as it was in the 90s. when you suck and start getting good things are fun in the stadium once you are at the top level people expect things and when it doesn't happen shite like this happens.

Great post Jaydeaux and I couldn't agree more!!! I'm a coach myself and I usually sit in the East upper deck (which I think are pretty good seats) and it amazes me how many fans just sit their and never make nose the entire time. It's the biggest plays during a game and they just sit their and yawn. It ticks me off so bad
I wish they were replaced with people that actually enjoyed being their and yelled for their Tigers like I do every game I attend. I was amazed at how many empty seats their were in Tiger Stadium for the Bama game. Their were thousands of seats empty and remained that way until the 2nd quarter. I personally thought the pregame atmosphere sucked and I was amazed at how hoe hum the fans were in the 1st half of the game overall. I told my Bama friend that had flown down from Alaska to attend the game with me that I was sorry that Tiger Stadium was so boring and that I promised him that the occurance was not a normal one. I was VERY disappointed in the apathy of the fans and have been all season.

Their were fans that left early last week. A few friends of mine that I gave tickets too left early in the 3rd quarter for pete's sake. Many people began running towards the exits when Bama was on their last drive of the 4th quarter for the field goal attempt.

You must be a young fan.

LSU fans booed and chanted "Help Mac pack" in the late 70s until Coach Mac was finally fired. They left early back in those days and sat on their hands when receiving their biennial asswhipping by The Bear.

They booed, left early, and sat on their hands for the better part of the 90s, too. That's assuming they even showed up at all.

This is not a new phenomenon in Tiger Stadium.

Well, I'm an alum and was at LSU for <gasp> 8 years. I've been going to games since 82.

As for the comebacks about last week, great work smart guys. BUT I did see people heading out before the block.

You can take shots a me all day but I'm right. Of course not everyone does this but enough people were it's impossible to avoid it.

There was some validity to that don't you think? We weren't the only school with two BCS titles and on an unprecidented streak.

The post that started this thread is stupid. Plenty of booing in the late 70s and early to mid 90s. Plenty.

The "cheering for our team" - was there in full force on Saturday. The crowd had zero to do with that loss. And it was a day game. It was as loud and crazy as the 03 GA game.

You throw 14 INT's in a year and 6 for TD's - you'll hear booing no matter what stadium you are in.

LSU will finish strong this year!!!

I don't mean it so much to "take a shot" at you, I just think posts like your's indicate a lack of perspective.

I just don't see how someone come away from a game, like last week, and think it was anything but an example of an amazing college football atmosphere.

If anyone around me left, or did anything beyond being a "perfect" fan, I was too involved in what was going on to notice.

The things you are complaining about is not unique to LSU and has been going on (and getting worse) since society began losing its civility in the 60s.

Not that I like it, but there is nothing that can be done. It's not going to get any better with a new generation of LSU fans spoiled by our recent success.
