Our RS freshman QB almost beat there senior QB. That has to say alot right there...

Let us not forget we shut down their infamous running game.

Like I said before the game. The only victory for LSU will be of the moral kind.

Lee- 4 picks, one a pick 6, still almost won the game
Wilson- one pick (should have been 2, and a stupid penalty that gave LSU a TD), barely won the game.

Wilson barely better than Lee.
LSU better than Bama.

LSU 4 TOs 0/1 FGs
Bama 3TOs 0/2 FGs

The OT TO was the difference maker.

With equal QB play, LSU is a much better team. But there is not equal QB play. That one player makes all the difference. So Bama is better by the pure fortune of having a senior at the most important position in football.

Say Bama and LSU swap QBs but all else is the same. Then, LSU wins by 2 TDs. But it doesnt matter. It's OK, Bama will soon be crushed by a more talented team with a better QB.

Well damn if we are counting almost wins give me 2007 against LSU.

We "almost" beat the national champions.

2007, LSU was a much better team that went up 17-3 on Bama. A phantom penalty is called and Bama gets a first down instead of another punt, and then starts jump balls into double coverage. Bama's offense was ugly that night but somehow still managed to work. More luck than anything, considering that offense did not work against UL-M or anyone else.

Umm, maybe you missed the Tennessee game right before we played y'all. 510 total yards.

No crap. Probably didn't help that y'all had one of the best defenses in the nation.

No matter how we did it, we "almost" beat the national champions with a very average football team. I'm hoping y'all can say the same thing in a couple of months.

Rantards... I guess I need to be clearer as to what I was saying.

I was just saying that we have a RSF QB and played down to the wire against a team that is supposed to be #1, even with the 4 IT's.

Bama had 138 yards rushing, that is 70 yards less than there game average. Leading up to the game, everyone was saying it was going to be hard to stop Bama's 3 prong running-back threat.

You could argue that point... but whatever.

For the record it was 2 pronged last Saturday. Upchurch is having neck issues.
